As a young boy living in Fresno California, Joe was raised by his Father to cheer for Southern California teams, which included the Los Angeles Rams. When the team decided to move from LA to St. Louis Missouri in 1994, he was devastated. With no apparel left in his hometown to represent the Los Angeles era, Joe began to reach out to his NFL friends to ask if there was a market to create "replica" style jerseys.
It was shortly after talking with his dear friend Vince Ferragamo that his idea became reality. "We made one Ferragamo concept jersey and the rest was history" claims Joe. The name "Throwback Joe" was created and dedicated to his Dad.
Today, Throwback Joe continues to evolve with his designs of "Throwback" hoodies, jerseys, and beanies.
Capturing the moment "one fan at a time" is Joe's philosophy. Producing quality product at a good price point is the reason NFL Alumni, Los Angeles Sports and Entertainment Commission (LASEC) Deacon Jones Foundation, Roman Gabriel Foundation, Rams Legends Community, and various Charitable organizations reach out to Joe to replicate their gear.
